Approach and Access to Manas NP

Manas National Park is accessible by roads, railways and airways. Permission to enter MNP is issued in the Office of the Field Director, Tiger Project, Manas, which is located at Barpeta Road, Assam and the main entry point to the MNP is through the Bansbari Range, which is 21 km away from the Office of the Field Director, Tiger Project. The nearest railway station is Barpeta Road. State transport Corporation Buses as well as private buses and taxis ply regularly to and fro in between Guwahati and Barpeta Road Town by N.H. 31. The nearest airport is Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati.

1. From Guwahati                                           -158 km
2. From Airport, Guwahati                               -178 km
3. From Bongaigaon                                       -  60 km
4. From Kokrajhar                                          - 96 km.

Where to Stay
Mathanguri:There is a six-room forest Inspection  Upper Bungalow/Rest house and Lower Bunglow with running water, electricity (generator operated) as well as catering facility. The Bungalow is located inside the Park near Indo-Bhutan boundary. Accommodation at this bunglow is most prefered by visitors because of its unique location.
