Wild Life Crime Investigation Training at Manas National Park

Wild life crime cover offences that are committed against wild life( both flora and fauna) native or non native species. This also includes that habitat that wild life used and resides. Wild life crime is now a global concern. The world heritage committee also urged 191 state parties to the world heritage convention to ensure strong international collaboration and coordination to control the illicit trade in flora and fauna and their product. But there is an huge gape on grass root level protection staff's orientation on wild life law and crime investigation. Front line staff are not well trained to curb illegal wild life crime investigation and maximum staff have no proper knowledge on Wild Life Protection Law. So after any incident they are wandering how to proceeds for next level.
Field Training at Mathanguri(Indu-Bhutan Border)
Theory session at Bansbari

So we arranged this orientation training for selected staffs of three ranges of Manas National Park on 25-26th February,2015. Training was held at Bansbari range and Mathanguri (Indu-Bhutan ) Border. We have found mixed response from the participant and need more orientation as soon as possible. Hope this effort may help park staff little bit.
