Beautiful Golden Fronted Leaf Bird

Image
Beautiful Golden fronted leaf bird commonly occurred in the woodland areas of Manas. It is a small passerine birds  species found in India, Srilanka, and South Asia. They have the predominant green color entire body so they got the name 'Leaf bird'. Males are generally brighter than females. They usually feed in the canopy, eating insects and some fruits and nectar.  The nest of leaf bird is not located easily. This species is attractive as well as the song bird.  They have the capacity to mimic sounds. Therefore it is a popular cage bird and threatened locally due to massive numbers of capture for trade.  Manas have a good number of 'leaf bird' population. So better conservation of Manas will give a better future for this species.
