Ripples of Tradition: Timeless Dance with the Beki River

Image
Every morning, as the sun painted the sky with hues of pink and gold, old lady would embark on a journey to the Beki river's edge with her trusted companion, the Jako i (fishing gear) , Khaloi (Bamboo basket to collect fishes)   traditional fishing gears that echoed with tales of generations past. The bamboo made  Jakoi  & Khaloi   were not just a tool for her; it was a bridge connecting her to the legacy. As old lady made her way back home, her heart swelled with contentment. The river, the Jakoi , Manas National Park, and the timeless traditions of her village had once again woven a tapestry of beauty and connection. Ladie’s story, like the flowing waters of the Beki, continued to ripple through time, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who embraced the magic of tradition.

Empowering Conservation: World Rhino Day Triumph at Kanazawa Zoo with Twitter Advocacy

The Kanazawa Zoo in Yokohama, Japan, celebrated World Rhino Day 2023 in collaboration with my daily Twitter posts, aiming to ignite global interest in rhino conservation. The exhibition drew over 2000 visitors, fostering awareness and engagement. As a testament to the impact of the initiative, a competition was held among visitors based on my tweets, and the best entries now adorn the windows of Kanazawa Zoo alongside my profile. This recognition stands as a profound honour for my silent efforts and contributes to the collective endeavour to safeguard the magnificent Greater One-Horned Rhinos. Grateful for this impactful collaboration
