Tiger is the most magnificent creature in the entire world. Conservation of Tiger initiated in Manas about 41 years ago. In 1973, Manas Wildlife Sanctuary became the
Core Zone (Sanctum Sanctorum) of “Manas
Tiger Reserve” (2837.12 sq km), one of the first batch of
eight Tiger Reserves launched under the aegis of prestigious “Project Tiger”.
Manas is one of the biggest Tiger Conservation Landscape entire country. Manas Transboundary Conservation initiative encompassing very large areas of tiger habitat with Bhutan. This TX2 sites has biggest prospect for tiger , other wild life and international tourism hub.Pristine natural beauty bountiful natural resources and colorful composite culture are big resources .
But gradual habitat lost become major threat for entire landscape. Some of its buffer areas get heavy human pressure. Poverty , sensitive law and order situation major factors of entire fringe areas.People are struggling for
survival. There are no basic amenities like drinking water, primary health
center, electricity, other rural development for livelihood in many remote
areas. So it is utmost necessary to implement rapid poverty alleviation program for linking fringe community towards Tiger Conservation and Restoration of Tiger Habitat.
On occasion of Global Tiger Day I wish safe future for Tiger and its Habitat in entire Globe.
