Manas MaozigendriEcotourism Society (MMES) one of the pioneering community-based organisation for the promotion of ecotourism and wildlife protection of Manas NP. Society was awarded prestigious Amrita Devi Bishnoi Wild Life Protection Award 2006 in recognition to its contribution in the field of wildlife protection by the Ministry of Environment and Forest Government of India. Moreover, MMES won Anirudh Bhargava Environmental Award 2005 from INTACH and a Certificate of Proficiency in Conservation and a Certificate of Appreciation for Conservation from the Kolkata Conservator of Nature and the Government of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) respectively.

MMES is now a committed and dedicated community-based society in the field of conservation & Ecotourism and vibrant enough to keep up its job and many have appreciated their efforts. Due to their persistent efforts in conservation have reaped great rewards, resulting in a substantial resurgence of the wildlife population. As a result, they have successfully started providing Ecotourism services to tourists. Since 2003 many tourists from India and foreign countries like Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Switzerland, South Africa, USA, and the UK have stayed at their jungle camp at Khamardwisa Lwkhibazar in the district of Baksa in BTAD area of Assam and lauding conservation efforts. The income generated through our Ecotourism venture is used to fund their conservation activities. Do visit Manas stay at MMES campus and try to understand relentless effort of our Green Heros of Manas National Park.
