Wallowing is the dominating activity after grazing among translocated rhinos at MNP, with increased wallowing in the monsoon season, and adult males wallowed more often than adult females and calves. Many behavior scientists suggested that Indian rhinoceros wallowing might be a part of the behavioral adjustment to heat stress.
