Remembering Iragdao (Rhino2)

Iragdao (Adult Male Rhino2) was killed by heartless poachers on the 13th of January 2013. Today we are remembering the eighth death anniversary of that adult male.

This adult rhino was translocated to Manas National Park from the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary on 12th April 2008 under the program of Indian Rhino Vision 2020.

The Team Manas put forwarded optimum effort to monitor this rhino after release. He was once proud of Manas landscape and covered the big areas from the central to the eastern part of Manas NP. He was a handsome male and everyone in Manas landscape known him.

Fortunately, the small population is now growing. Manas National Park has now 44 rhinos. We expect a bright future for this small rhino population of Manas on the occasion of Iragdao's seventh death anniversary.
