The World Wildlife Day 2019 was organized with full of enthusiasm in Manas National Park. The program was organized in collaboration with Manas Park Authority, WWF-India, Manas Ever Welfare Society (MEWS), Aaranyak and Jeep safari Association. Total 100 people participated in that event including students and teachers from Manas M.E School, Bansbari High School, Shanti Mandir M.E School, St. Xavier School Bansbari, Lachit M.E School, media persons, forest personnel, NGO members were participated.
The Event started with a welcome address by Mr. Sanjib Urang, secretary MEWS. He welcomes the invited Guest, media persons and the participants to the event. Mr. Babul Brahma Range Officer Bansbari gave a brief speech on the event. Mr. Sanjit Das MEWS also encouraged the student to keep the spirit of conservation alive as they started in the year 2007 and continued until today 2019.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Dharanidhar Boro he addressed the participants about the importance of observing this day for the conservation of wildlife maintaining safe habitat for wildlife and people.
Following that program, all participants were starting to remove plastic wastage from the tourist routes of Bansbari Range. Almost 55kgs of plastic wastage removed through this volunteer actions. Participants were also enjoyed different wildlife inside the jungle.
